COACHES COLUMN - DECEMBER 2009
with Head Coach - Joseph Ford
Hello everyone and welcome to Coaches Column!
Firstly I would like to say a huge thank you to everybody that has been involved with JMF Coaching since we started in February 2009.
I would also like to say a special thank you to Mr Murphy at Our Lady of the Rosary Primary and Mrs Pemberton at Mayplace Primary who both first allowed JMF Coaching permission to provide the after school coaching at their schools, without them all of this would not have been possible.
Well it has been an extremely successful year and I believe that it is only going to get better and better. The coaches at JMF Coaching have been absolutely brilliant and I hope that you agree with me when I say that the sessions they have provided to the children have been top class. I also know that you will definitely agree with me when I say that the childrens football ability has improved dramatically since our first ever session in February and that it is continuing to develop in each session that the children attend with us. We are now coaching over 200 children per week and this just shows how far we have come.
Not only has our after school coaching been a huge success but our Summer Course's that took place in July and August were another huge hit, with over 100 children attending. The three courses we provided were brilliant and all of the children have since told me how much they enjoyed them, which for me is what JMF Coaching is all about.
In September JMF Coaching added a third school to our list in Upton Primary, having coached there before, I was delighted to be able to team up with them and our first course there which ended in October was another huge success. The school has recently been rebuilt and no doubt will be one of the top schools in the area. Alongside Our Lady of the Rosary and Mayplace, I believe that we have a great team.
I think it would be unfair not to give a special mention to all of the children that have attended our courses. I can honestly say that every single child has been an absolute pleasure to coach and I hope that they continue to come along and enjoy our fun packed courses. I would also like to say yet another thank you to the parents, who pack the childrens kit, clean their boots and make it possible for the children to attend our courses, I hope you have enjoyed seeing the children progress and have fun since the start of the year.
Lastly, I would just like to let everbody know that our latest Saturday course has now started and will be running until the 13th February, if you would like to join please contact us. Our next after school course will be starting on the week commencing 22nd February please check website regularly or contact us for more details.
All that's left for me to do now is wish everybody a Happy New Year!, from all at JMF Coaching.
We look forward to seeing you all soon,
Joseph Ford
