JMF Coaching

Hello everyone and welcome back to Coaches Column! Firstly may I start by wishing everybody a very Happy New Year and all the best for 2011!

Well yet another year has passed and what a year it has been! JMF Coaching started their after school coaching sessions at the incredibly impressive and newly built Upton Primary School, using both the school field and newly constructed 'mugga' pitch facilities to stage our after school sessions. The sessions at the school have been a huge success with record numbers of children attending our courses so far, all of whom have been a pleasure to coach! We are looking forward to working with you in 2011!

We have also been very busy during the school holidays and 2010 saw JMF Coaching host the most holiday courses of their short history. Easter, Summer, Winter and Half Term courses have all been hosted come rain or shine and yet again have proven to be a huge success. All of our holiday courses last year took place at Our Lady of the Rosary and I would like to say a huge thank you to Mr Murphy, Mrs Townsend and Mr Batchelor for allowing us permission to use the facility and also opening the school during the holidays. We couldn’t of done it without you!

This year like the last has again seen all of the children who attended our courses develop their football skills and techniques. The majority of children (when old enough) are beginning to join junior teams and some have even gone on to train with professional clubs which is brilliant. I can quite honestly say that nothing makes the staff at JMF Coaching happier than seeing the children enjoy learning with us whilst having fun and I can assure you that the good work will continue in 2011.

After mentioning the staff, I think it is fair to say that again their coaching methods and techniques have been brilliant this year. I am sure that you would agree when I say that the improvement in the children’s ability and knowledge of the game has greatly improved and this is down to the extremely hard work of the coaches and the different types of sessions they stage day after day and week after week. Thank you guys!

Lastly, I would like to say the biggest thank you of all to the parents and guardians of the children at all three of the schools we coach in. As I said earlier, all of the children have behaved brilliantly and are a pleasure to coach. This is no doubt down to yourselves and we would like to thank you all for allowing the children to attend as well as cleaning their dirty boots and letting them in your car when they are head to toe in mud!!!
